Analysis Service by NON-Destructive Techniques
The Service of Analysis by Non-Destructive Techniques of the National Museum of Natural Sciences-CSIC includes a total of 8 laboratories whose objective is to provide scientific-technical assistance to public and private organizations that request it.
Currently the service is in the process of quality certification through ISO 9001. It is a multidisciplinary research support service that offers a catalog of nine analysis techniques for chemical, morphological, luminescent, molecular, thermal, structural and densitometric properties.
It belongs to the CSIC's Services catalog (Cod: 825583) and to the "Network of Laboratories of the Community of Madrid" (RLA- Sistema Madri + d- nº 402).
The Service is included in the Service Charter of the MNCN-CSIC, therefore it participates in the improvement and quality processes through the procedures established in the Service Charter.
It is located in the south building of the Museum of Natural Sciences, Geology area, José Gutiérrez Abascal street nº 2, 28006 Madrid.

RULES OF USE OF EACH TECHNIQUE:
The sessions of Electron Microscopy, Computerized Tomography of X-rays and ATD / TGA are always sessions with technical assistance.
In the RAMAN Spectroscopy, Confocal Microscopy and 3D Microscopy sessions, it is possible to work with or without a specialist technician, in self-service mode, after prior training by the laboratory staff.
To schedule the work to be carried out, they must first contact the laboratory by phone, or through the web form. It is recommended to have a forecast and to book well in advance to avoid long waiting lists and crowds in certain periods of greater attendance due to foreign visitors, conferences or routine reviews.
In case of need to cancel the reservation, it can be done at any time notifying the laboratory in advance to be able to change the turn to another user. If consecutive cancellations are repeated, without having given prior notice, the session will be charged even if it has not been enjoyed.
For a more efficient operation, apart from special cases, giving more than one session per week will be avoided.
