We are integrative biologists working at the intersections between evolutionary biology, systematics and taxonomy, biogeography, genomics of speciation and adaptation, global change and conservation biology. We are particularly interested in describing the biodiversity, biogeographic history and relationships of the vertebrate fauna of Madagascar, where we are initiating a project on the evolution and the genomic bases of alkaloid defense in poison frogs. We are also interested in the effects of past and current climate changes in the diversification and fate of different groups of vertebrates and their conservation implications. We mainly work with amphibians, reptiles, and birds.
